Stephanie Mc Carville, Physiotherapist
Stephanie Mc Carville is a graduate of both St. Francis Xavier University and The University of Western Ontario. She is licensed with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Orthopedic Division.
Since completing her Masters in Physiotherapy 6 years ago, she has worked primarily in orthopedic physiotherapy clinics where she has treated a variety of conditions and populations, including motor vehicle accidents, worker’s compensation, athletes and children. She has completed Levels 1 through 3 Manual Therapy courses. She also completed courses in Acupuncture and McKenzie Therapy and is trained to prescribe custom orthotics. Stephanie has also completed Level 1 Intramuscular Manual Therapy:Trigger Point Dry Needling. This treatment is common in Western Canada but relatively new to the Halifax area. It involves using acupuncture needles to alleviate trigger points (knots) in muscles.
She promotes an active and healthy lifestyle and enjoys yoga, running, biking, hiking and kayaking. She is committed to treating patients with an emphasis on pain relief, exercise prescription, manual therapy and education to help her clients meet their goals and return to the quality of life they desire.
